FAREWELL FROM

INSPECTOR MICK HOWELLS

As you may have seen in the local press, I have now left the area to take on a divisional performance role based at Grantham. I am looking forward to my new job, but in some ways I will be sorry to leave the Stamford Sector.

This is mainly due to the officers we have there who work tirelessly to serve the public, and secondly the support that I personally and the police in general have received from the vast majority of our community.

This partnership is working; community involvement must continue to increase if we are to make progress in the fight against crime and I know that my replacement Inspector Andy McManus is determined to expand and improve things further in this area.

So may I thank all members of the NHW for all the help they have given me, the police, and most importantly - each other, while I have been the Sector Inspector. Please continue to look out for your neighbours.

I hope you all had a happy and safe festive season.
